Plain English summary: We've tried to make these terms clear and fair. Where legal language is necessary, we've added explanations. We're building Lyra Studio for music teachers, and we want our relationship to be straightforward.

03 Your Account
Account Security
You're responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling two-factor authentication when available.
Account Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated. We may suspend accounts with obviously false information.
One Account Per Person
Each account is for a single user. Don't share accounts or create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or fees.
04 Subscriptions & Payments
Pricing Tiers
Lyra Studio offers multiple subscription tiers with different features and limits. Current pricing is displayed on our website and in the app. Prices are in US dollars unless otherwise stated.
Billing
- Monthly plans are billed each month on your signup date
- Annual plans are billed once per year and offer a discount
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or stated in these Terms
Free Trial
We may offer free trials for paid tiers. After the trial ends, you'll be charged for the subscription unless you cancel. We'll remind you before your trial ends.
Price Changes
We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes won't affect your current billing period. If you disagree with a price change, you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed through Stripe. By using paid features, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. We don't store your full credit card information.
No commissions on your lessons. Unlike marketplace platforms, we charge a flat subscription fee. The payments your students make for lessons go directly to you (minus standard Stripe processing fees of ~2.9% + $0.30).
05 Your Content
Ownership
You own your content. Lesson recordings, student data, notes, and any other content you create or upload remains yours. We don't claim ownership of your content.
License to Operate
By using Lyra Studio, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store, backup, and display your content to you and authorized users (like your students' parents)
- Process lesson recordings through AI to generate summaries and insights
- Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the Service (never individual identifiable data)
Your Responsibilities
You're responsible for:
- Ensuring you have the right to upload and share any content
- Getting appropriate consent from students (or parents/guardians for minors) before recording lessons
- Complying with privacy laws in your jurisdiction
- Backing up important data—while we maintain backups, we recommend keeping your own copies
