• Lesson recordings and AI-generated summaries (Studio Pro tier)
• Payment and invoice records
• Notes and progress tracking data you create

Usage Information

We automatically collect:

• Device and browser information
• IP address and general location (country/region)
• Pages visited and features used
• Error logs to help us fix issues

We use your information to:

• Provide the service — scheduling, payments, video lessons, and AI features
• Improve Lyra Studio — understanding how teachers use the platform helps us build better features
• Communicate with you — account notifications, product updates, and support responses
• Ensure security — detecting and preventing fraud or unauthorized access
• Process payments — facilitating transactions between you and your students

Your data is protected by:

• Encryption in transit — all data transmitted using TLS 1.3
• Encryption at rest — your data is encrypted on our servers
• Secure infrastructure — hosted on enterprise-grade cloud providers with SOC 2 compliance
• Access controls — strict internal policies limiting who can access what
• Regular backups — your data is backed up daily with point-in-time recovery

Lesson recordings and AI transcriptions are processed using secure, privacy-focused AI providers. Audio is analyzed to generate summaries and is not used to train AI models.

Lyra Studio is designed for music teachers (adults). While teachers may have minor students, we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent.

Student information entered by teachers (such as student names for scheduling) is controlled by the teacher and subject to their own privacy practices with their students and families.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Continued use of Lyra Studio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
